Biography

Sheryl Cozad, M.F.A, is the owner and founder of Willow Pond Arts. Cozad has taught college level studio arts and art history for over two decades. In addition, she is a highly experienced and active visual artist who has been an Oklahoma State Arts Council Artist-in-Residence for many years. Her portraits, murals, narrative paintings, drawing, and wood sculpture are created in a variety of media, including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels and mixed media. While portraits and murals constitute much of Cozad’s artwork, she also creates paintings and three-dimensional pieces that reflect her spirituality and imagination. She has illustrated books and other publications on the subjects of faith and health. Her work has been featured in one-person and traveling group exhibitions in many locations in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Iceland. Her former students include museum curators, college art instructors, high school art teachers, art therapists and successful professional artists and designers.
